Guidelines for Volume Proposals

Proposals for AMIS monographs are invited from the experts in specific domains of information systems. The potential Volume Editors are asked to contact Dr. Vladimir Zwass, the Editor-in-Chief of AMIS, via e-mail in order to establish the fit between the intended volume and the overall objectives of the serial. Subsequently, a prospectus for the volume will be developed, to include the following information:
  • the volume title.
  • the names of the volume editor(s) and their biographical sketches.
  • the description of the volume's contribution in several paragraphs.
  • the preliminary table of contents.
  • the preliminary list of contributors.
  • the envisaged audience.
  • the timetable for the development of the volume.
At the conclusion of the prospectus development, the Volume Editors will sign their own agreement with the Publisher.

All papers in the AMIS volumes are expected to undergo a rigorous double-blind referee review under the supervision of the Volume Editors. A consistent level of the papers within the volume and across the serial is vital. References and indexes are deemed important to the objectives of AMIS as lasting codification of knowledge and methods in the field. The Volume Editors are invited to offer suggestions for exposing specialized audiences to the intended volumes.

The communication process between the Editor-in-Chief and the Volume Editors will continue via e-mail. If preferred, Volume Editors will contact Dr. Zwass by other means, using any of the following:
